Panels

Panels are an important part of programming at Tekkoshocon.  They tend to make up a large chunk of the things happening all weekend long.  Panels can be run by guests, attendees, and experts!  Guests might use the time to talk about their recent work or even help people learn how to become voice actors.  Attendees help us out by showing off their passion and expertise in different areas of fandom.  Experts come in to share with everyone their expertise in history, pop culture, language, and even martial arts! Panels are a fantastic place to meet new people that share the same interests as you.  Are you curious about the history of the Gundam franchise?  Are you dying to know if someone else shares your theory on the 'correct' ending to Silent Hill 2?  Have an important question to ask your favorite voice actor?  Panels are the places those questions get answered!

Workshops are a hands on approach to programming at Tekkoshocon!  In Workshops, attendees, guests, and experts volunteer their time to help you learn how to improve or start a new hobby.  They can be anything from learning Origami to learning the basics of a language.  Workshops tend to be longer than most panels and the panelists running the workshop will actually show you how to do something.  Do you ever wonder what kind of paint works best on model kits?  Do you want to pick up a new hobby and learn to play Go?  What about learning a dance that you were afraid to learn on your own?  Workshops provide all the solutions to these questions and more!

Have an itch to show off your expertise about your favorite anime?  Just need to teach people how to build a Gundam model? Then running a panel or a workshop is right for you! Please join us this year for Tekkoshocon VIII and help us make our programming the best that it can be.
